The catalyst for a market correction came in the form of COVID-19. The economic shock will cast the world into negative annual GDP growth for the first time since WWII. In the brutal trade for the security of cash, all asset classes – stocks, bonds, gold, property -have suffered plummeting prices.

In the short term, withering tourism and excess inventory will drive down yields and valuations. Forced sales, exacerbated by risk-averse lenders, are sure to present occasions for the opportunistic property buyer. Summer harvests must be sown in winter.
